J. B. CRAMER & CO. PORTABLE PIANO, LONDON, 1900
The Cramer company was founded by the pianist and composer of the same name as a music publisher in London in 1824. Later they also built pianos. Towards the end of the 19th century, Cramer designed these portable pianos with folding keyboards. This fulfilled the growing demand of increasingly travelling people and also to have an easily transportable keyboard instrument in the many colonies.
