JOHN BROADWOOD & SONS SQUARE PIANO , LONDON, 1842

The square piano was very popular in England. John Broadwood & Sons was its most important builder. In the early 1840's, when this instrument was built, their annual production was 1200 square piano’s.

Provenance: donation from family Wouter Scheurwater ( restorer of historical keyboard instruments at the Gemeentemuseum of the Hague )
