RIPPEN GRAND PIANO, EDE (NL), 1960

In the middle of the 20th century, Rippen redesigned the shape of the grand piano, both in terms of material and form. The case was not made of wood but of silumin (an aluminium alloy). The grand piano is straight-strung, giving it a particulary slender shape.
