Günther grand, Brussels, 1930
From the end of the 19th century until the first half of the 20th century Günther was the piano builder with the highest quality in Belgium. They made several different piano models including a concert grand. Around 1910 Günther redesigned the common used plans for a small grand. By giving the top lid a symmetrical form, it could be opened in two directions. This came in handy when the grand was placed in the corner of the room.
